WARNING

If FrameForge fails to start, the most common cause is a missing .NET Runtime.

  1. Download and install the .NET 8 Runtime from Microsoft
  2. Right-click FrameForge.exe and select Run as Administrator
  3. If you see a SmartScreen warning, click More info then Run anyway

Game Not Detected

NOTE

The scanner looks in common Steam, Epic, GOG, and Xbox Game Pass directories. Games installed in non-standard locations may need to be added manually.

  1. Open the Games tab in the client
  2. Click Manual Add and browse to the game's .exe file
  3. FrameForge will sync this definition to the community cloud

IMPORTANT

FrameForge is fully open source. If you have concerns about a specific detection, you can audit the source code on GitHub.

Some AV products flag FrameForge because it writes to the Windows registry and adjusts process priorities. You can whitelist the FrameForge.exe binary in your AV settings.

Optimizations Not Applying

  1. Confirm FrameForge is running with Administrator privileges
  2. Verify the game appears in your Games list with a green status dot
  3. Check the in-app log viewer (Settings > View Logs) for any error entries
